JAXA releases Research Announcement (RA) in regard to Superconducting Submillimeter-Wave Limb-Emission Sounder attached to Japanese Experimental Module (JEM/SMILES) which will be launched in this September. This RA considers calibration and validation of the SMILES data, as well as algorithm development, data application, and scientific use. The details of the RA are provided in the following RA documents. For more details about SMILES, please go to the Documents page. We expect active applications from atmospheric chemistry researchers.
(Please note that the notation of "NICT" (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology) has been corrected on page 5 of RA document; July 27, 2009)
