From Chubu International Airport (Centrair)
From Tokyo-Narita International Airport (NRT)
From Tokyo-Haneda International Airport (Big Bird)

Access from Osaka-Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kyoto:
We recommend the following three possibilities.
1. You could use a shuttle which will take you from KIX to your hotel in Kyoto at a flat rate (3500 JPY). You need to reserve a seat in the shuttle via the URLs below.
- Yasaka TAXI: Please make a reservation by 6:00 am (JST) 1 day before for your arrival.
- MK TAXI: Please make a reservation by 5:00 pm (JST) 2 days before your arrival.
2. You could use the JR Haruka luxury express train from KIX to JR Kyoto station, and may take a taxi or other public transportations from JR Kyoto Station to your hotel.
3. Limousine buses are available from KIX to the central of Kyoto city including JR Kyoto Station (approximately 95 min).

Access from Chubu International Airport (Centrair) to Kyoto:
Centrair is an airport located within the vicinity of Nagoya (map), the main city of entral Japan. In the Centrair, the arrival gates are located on the second floor of the Passenger Terminal Building. You could use Nagoya Railroad Meitetsu from Centrair to Metetsu Nagoya station (850 JPY, approximately 28 minutes. To get a reserved seat, you need to pay additional 350 JPY). The Central Japan International Airport station is located on the second floor of the Access Plaza and connected to the Passenger Terminal Building by the connection passage. Notice that there are local (slower) trains that can also take you to Meitetsu Nagoya Station. Take either Rapid Limited Express or Limited Express. You may refer more details how to ride the Meitesu Train.
You get off the Meitetsu Train at Meitetsu Nagoya Station. Then, you walk from Meitesu Nagoya Station to JR Nagoya Station. It may take 7-8 min, because the Nagoya Station Building is quite large. At the JR Nagoya Station, you buy a ticket for Shinkansen Super Express. Take NOZOMI Super Express rather than HIKARI or KODAMA Super Express. It takes about 36 min from JR Nagoya Station to JR Kyoto Station by NOZOMI Super Express. The fare is 4,930 JPY and 5,640 JPY for a non-reserved seat and a reserved seat, respectively. You may refer to the website of Central Japan Railway Company (JR-central) to get more details such as Types of tickets or how to buy Shinkansen tickets. You could check the time table prepared by JR-central company. You may take a taxi or other public transportations from JR Kyoto Station to your hotel.

Access from Tokyo-Narita International Airport (NRT) to Kyoto:
You have two choices to move from Tokyo-Narita International Airport (NRT) to Kyoto; by airplane or by train.
(Choice 1: By airplane)
You use a domestic flight from NRT to Osaka-Itami Airport. Please note that Osaka-Itami Airport is not identical with Osaka-Kansai (KIX) airport. Flights with ANA (All Nippon Airways) will arrive at the South terminal, while those with JAL (Japan Air Lines) at the North terminal. From Osaka-Itami Airport to JR Kyoto Station or some major hotels in the central of Kyoto city, limousine buses bound for Kyoto city depart every 20 minutes. It takes about 55 minutes to the JR Kyoto Station, and the fare is 1,280 JPY. For more details such as how to buy a ticket for limousine bus, how to find the limousine-bus stop at Osaka-Itami Airport and how to find your suitable arrival place (bus stop) in the central of Kyoto, you may ask the information desk at Osaka-Itami Airport.

(Choice 2: By train)
You arrive at terminal 1 or terminal 2 at NRT, depending on the flight company which you use. Each terminal has its own railway station. The stations are available in underground level. You take a train Narita Express (N'EX) or Airport Narita (Rapid Service) of JR-east company. Normally it will take 65-90 min from terminal 1 or 2 at NRT to JR Tokyo station. The fare is 2,940 JPY for regular cars and 4,430 JPY for green cars (open cabin). Get off your train at JR Tokyo Station, and change to Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen. There are some other Shinkansen lines. Please not that you should use Tohoku-jyouetsu Shinkansen line. For more details about how to get to JR Tokyo Station from NRT, e-airport can help you. At JR Tokyo Station, take NOZOMI Super Express rather than HIKARI or KODAMA Super Express (time table prepared by JR-central company). From Tokyo to Kyoto, the fare is 13,720 JPY for a reserved seat and normally it takes about 140 min. You could buy a whole ticket including both the fares for N'EX (or Airport Narita) and NOZOMI Super Express at railway stations in NRT. Please ask JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or Travel Service Center (View Plaza). At JR Kyoto Station, you may take a taxi or other public transportations to come to your hotel.

Access from Tokyo-Haneda International Airport (Big Bird) to Kyoto:
You have two choices to move from Tokyo-Haneda International Airport (Big Bird) to Kyoto; by airplane or by train.
(Choice 1: By airplane)
The way to get to Kyoto from Tokyo-Haneda International Airport is almost the same as Choice 1 described above.

(Choice 2: By train)
You could use Keikyu Line or Tokyo Monorail whose platforms are available in underground level (Keikyu Line & Tokyo Monorail platforms). For more details about times and fares to major stations (e.g. Shinagawa or Shin-Yokohama station), please refer to these sites (Kikyu Line, Tokyo Monorail). Get off your train at JR Shinagawa or Shin-Yokohama station, and change to Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen. At the station, take NOZOMI Super Express rather than HIKARI or KODAMA Super Express (time table prepared by JR-central company). From Shinagawa or Shin-Yokohama to Kyoto, the fare of a reserved seat is 13,320 and 12,690 JPY, respectively. At JR Kyoto Station, you may take a taxi or other public transportations to come to your hotel.
