After a seven-day trip from the lift-off, JEM/SMILES and NASA payload HREP have arrived at the International Space Station in the morning on 18 Sept. 2009 (JST). On 25 Sept., astronauts are scheduled to use the station's robotic arms to install JEM/SMILES on the Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo".
The HTV, space vehicle transports JEM/SMILES to the International Space Station, has successfully demonstrated its excellent performances throughout the trip. JEM/SMILES mission team appreciates the HTV/H-IIB project team gratefully.
