JEM/SMILES installation to "Kibo"

JEM/SMILES was installed to port No. 3 of the Exposed Facility (EF) of Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo".

Astronauts used two robotic arms: Canadian SSRMS (Space Station Remote Manipulator System) and JEMRMS (Japanese Experiment Module Remote Manipulator System). SSRMS grappled and removed the Exposed Pallet, on which JEM/SMILES and HREP payloads were included, from the HTV vehicle, and then handed the pallet off to JEMRMS. Finally JEMRMS installed HREP and JEM/SMILES to Kibo EF individually.
